June Bullet Journal Set Up

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about my bullet journal set up for June. I did not do a spread for May. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know if you do bullet journaling. Hope you have a great day.

The first page is my June title page. I didn’t know what to do for it so I just drew some swirls. I liked how it turned out.

Next set of pages are my TBR and haul pages. My TBR page is where I list my top five books that I want to get to in the month. My haul page is where I write down all of the books that I bought/received in the month.

The final set of pages are my read and pages read page. My read page is where I writ down every single book that I read and the star rating. The pages read page is where I am going to graph the amount of pages that I read on a particular day.

Favourite Mothers/Mother Figures in Literature

Hello lovelies! How are you? Happy Mother’s Day! Today’s blog post is all about my favourite Mothers/ Mother figures in literature. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know who your favourite mothers and/or mother figures are in books. Hope you have a great day!

“‘I want my daughters to be beautiful, accomplished, and good. To be admired, loved, and respected. To have a happy youth, to be well and wisely married, and to lead useful, pleasant lives, with as little care and sorrow to try them as God sees fit to send. To be loved and chosen by a good man is the best and sweetest thing which can happen to a woman, and I sincerely hope my girls may know this beautiful experience. It is natural to think of it, Meg, right to hope and wait for it, and wise to prepare for it, so that when the happy time comes, you may feel ready for the duties and worthy of the joy.'”

Little Women, Louisa May Alcott

Mrs. Weasley

“‘Beds empty! No note! Car gone … could have crashed … out of my mind with worry … did you care? … never, as long as I’ve lived … you wait until your father gets home, we never had trouble like this from Bill or Charlie or Percy …’ ‘Perfect Percy,’ muttered Fred. ‘YOU COULD DO WITH TAKING A LEAF OUT OF PERCY’S BOOK!’ yelled Mrs Weasley, prodding a finger in Fred’s chest. ‘You could have died, you could have been seen, you could have lost your father his job –’”

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, J.K. Rowling

Miss Honey

“’A precocious child,’ Miss Honey said, ‘is one that shows amazing intelligence early on. You are an unbelievably precocious child.’ ‘Am I really?’ Matilda asked.”

Matilda, Roald Dahl

Marilla Cuthbert

“I love you as dear as my own flesh and blood and you’ve been my joy and comfort ever since you came to Green Gables.”

Anne of Green Gables , L.M. Montgomery

Sam Hell’s Mom

“My mother wasted no time doting on me and recording every detail of my life, as evidenced by dozens of scrapbooks and photo albums she filled and  kept on the mahogany bookshelves in our living room. When it came to my life, my mother acted as if she were preserving the legacy of a future president for this presidential library. Even before cameras digitally recorded the date on individual photographs, she would write the day, month, and year on the white borders to note such momentous occasions as my first bath, my first meal in a highchair, and the obligatory first potty-training session. I also possess the hospital beanie and ankle bracelet I wore home from the hospital, as well as every report card I earned and every high school newspaper article I wrote.”

The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell, Robert Dugoni

“I wish for my child, for all our children, a world where they can be who they are and become their most loved, blessed, appreciated selves.”

Laurie Frankel, This is How It Always Is

“‘You must feel an almost pathological need—understandably—to stand guard between your son and the world.’ ‘Yeah, it’s called being a mother.’ Ma nearly snarls it.”

Emma Donoghue, Room

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom! My favourite mother of all. She is wise like Marmee and bad ass like Mrs. Weasley. Loving like Marilla and nostalgic like Sam Hell’s mom. My mom is accepting like Rosie and protective like Ma. I hope you have an awesome Mother’s Day!
