April OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about my unboxing of this month’s OwlCrate. Owlcrate is a monthly Young Adult subscription box that features a signed exclusive edition of a newly released box and 3-6 boyish goodies. This month’s theme is The Dark Side Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what your favourite item was in this month’s box. Hope you have an awesome day. 

When I first open this I see the spoiler card. I love the design of this card and the colour scheme of it. I am not going to be looking at the back of the card because it contains spoilers. 

The first item in this box is a pair of socks designed by Out of Print. I love their socks. They are such good quality. These socks were inspired by Six of Crows. I love the design of these socks.

Next is a scarf designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos. This scarf was inspired by the Grishaverse, more specifically the Darkling. I love the colour. I feel like this colour is very Spring. 

Another item in this box is a notebook illustrated by Stella Bookish Art. This was inspired by the Throne of Glass series. This notebook is beautiful. I know I will be using this a ton. 

Next item is a phone holder. This was designed by Hey Atlas Creative. It was inspired by Vicious. I think this is such a cool item. I have never heard of a subscription box putting this item in one of their boxes. I think this is very useful.

Then in this box we have a sneak peek of Finale by Stephanie Garber.

Another item we have in this box is a pin banner designed and created by Michelle Gray. I think this is such a conveniate item to have. You can display all of your pins that you get from OwlCrate each month.

Speaking of pins, this month’s collectable enamel pin was designed by Hey Atlas Craetive. It was inspired by the book of the month. This pin is absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to display it. 

The book of the month is Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan. This novel is about Naya, who has the ability to talk to Gods and take hold of their magic, as she is thrown into a centuries long war along with a Prince and a blood mage, the trio forms a dangerous plan to assassinate the King and finally end the war. This cover is an exclusive cover and is also signed by the author. We also get a letter from the author and an exclusive fabric book map. 

Each month we get a panphlette with interviews with the author and a vendor, word searches, photo challenges and a sneak peek of next month’s book. 

Next month’s theme is Epic Adventures and every book will include an exclusive item from Designed by KDP Letters.

March OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about this month’s OwlCrate unboxing. OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box that has one young adult hardcover book that is usually signed and has an exclusive cover with also 3 to 5 bookish items. I love OwlCrate. If you have not subscribed to OwlCrate please do so. They are an amazing box subscription box.  This month’s theme is Murder and Mayhem Please leave a comment down below letting me now what your favourite item from this month’s box was. The first item I see in this box is the spoiler card. I love the art work of this spoiler card and the colours of it. I think it fits the theme perfectly. I will not be looking at the back of the card until I am done opening up everything because I don’t want to be spoiled.

Next is this drawstring backpack. This item was designed by Michelle Gray. I love the skulls and potion bottles on it. This will absolutely be my beach bag this summer. 

Another item in this month’s box is this beautiful travel mug inspired by Nevernight. This mug was designed and created by Catarina Book Designs. Its says “never flinch, never fear, never forget”. I love the material that it is made of, that it is travel friendly and that it comes with a sleeve.

Next is a Game of Thrones inspired bookmark. This item was created and designed by Ink and Wonder Designs. I love their bookmarks. This says “when the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives”. This bookmark is beautiful. I love the watercolour effect of the pinks and purples. 

Another item is this Savage Song inspired candle from In The Wick of Time. My candle is Malchai and it smells like pomegranates. It smells like summer.

This sticker is inspired by Three Dark Crowns. It was created and designed by Janila Melio. This says “I want revenge and I want my crown.” I love how simple it is.

The pin artist of the month is Iron and Ink Designs. It is inspired by the book of the month. I love that the pin is a compass. 

The book for this month’s box is Four Dead Queen’s by Astrid Scholte. When a talented thief steals a highly important package from a messenger, they are thrusted into a conspiracy. They both discover that someone has been murdering the four Queens that rule over their lands, and they are desperate to find out who is the murderer. This is an exclusive cover and the book is also signed by the author. We also get a letter from the author, character art print and an exclusive pen. 

Every month we get a panplette that has an author interview, word search, an interview this a shop owner that was featured in this box, photo challenge and a sneak peak into next month’s theme. 

Next month’s theme is The Dark Side and every box will have an exclusive scarf designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos.

February OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about this month’s OwlCrate unboxing. OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box that has one young adult hardcover book that is usually signed and has an exclusive cover with also 3 to 5 bookish items. I love OwlCrate. If you have not subscribed to OwlCrate please do so. They are an amazing box subscription box.  This month’s theme is Whimsical Beats. The first item I see in this box is the spoiler card. I love the art work of this spoiler card and the colours of it. I think it fits the theme perfectly. I will not be looking at the back of the card until I am done opening up everything because I don’t want to be spoiled.

Next is an exclusive beanie. This item was inspired by Harry Potter and designed by Team OwlCrate and Michelle Gray. I love the shade of purple they picked and that it says “Accio Books”. I will absolutely be wearing this. 

Another item is a travel umbrella. This team was created by Anne Lambelet. This umbrella was inspired by Harry Potter and has illustrations of all of our favourite creatures and beasts from the series. This is such a gorgeous and unique item.

Next is a keychain inspired by Spirited Away and it was designed by Four Seasons Fox. I love keychains and I can’t wait to add this to my collection.

A bar of soap is the next item I see. This is a pixie dust gem soap inspired by Peter Pan. This item was created by Leeloo Soaps. I can’t wait to use this.

Next is this beautiful enamel pin. It is inspired by the book of the month and was created by Ink and Wonder Designs. I can’t wait to add this to my pin collection.

The final item before the book is actually an extra book. This is The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’Neil and it is an exclusive edition by Oni Press. I have heard nothing but good things about this graphic novel. 

This month’s book is Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto. This story is about survival, war, phoenix riders and the bonds of sisterhood. This edition is an OwlCrate exclusive and it also has sprayed edges (gorgeous! Am I right?). This book also comes signed by the author. 

We also get a letter from the author, a map and an exclusive feather bookmark. 

This month’s pamphlet has the same artwork as the spoiler card. Inside you get an interview with the author, word search, interview this Anne Lambelet, this month’s photo challenge and a look at next month’s theme. 

Next month’s theme is Murder and Mayhem and next month we will be getting an exclusive travel mug from Catarina Book Design.

January OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies. How are you? Today’s blog post is all about my January OwlCrate unboxing. OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box that gives you one newly released Young Adult Hardcover signed book and other bookish goodies. If you haven’t checked out OwlCrate please do it is an awesome company. This month’s theme is Magical Artifacts. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what your favourite item was in this month’s box. 

The first item that I see in this box is the spoiler card. I love the artwork of this one. It reminds me of Alice falling down the rabbit hole. I am not going to look at the back of the card because I don’t want to spoil myself. 

Next I see this white box with the OwlCrate logo on it. Inside is this gorgeous gold bracelets with antlers all over it (it is adjustable which is awesome). This item was inspired by Shadow and Bone trilogy and created by Team OwlCrate. I will absolutely be wearing this. 

Another item I see is these Harry Potter inspired socks. I love how they have the Deathly Hallows symbol on them. These socks were designed baby Team OwlCrate and Michelle Gray. 

Thirdly in this box is a wooden letter opener. This item was inspired by the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and it was designed by Juniper and Ivy Designs. This is such a unique item. I love it. 

Next is zipper pouch  inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic. On one side it says “Kell wore a very peculiar coat” and on the other side hit says “as travars”. This pouch was designed by Stella’s Bookish Art. It is beautiful. I love the colours of it.

Another item intros box is a wall tapestry. This item was inspired by The Golden Compass and it was designed by Holly Dunn Designs. It says “without stories we wouldn’t be human beings at all.” I think this is absolutely stunning. I love the use of blue and silver.

The final item in this month’s box before the book is a enamel pin. This pin was inspired by the book of the month and was designed by Alchemy and Ink. OwlCrate has announced that they will be including a high quality enamel pin in every month. Each pin will be inspired by the book of the month. 

The book of the month is Gilded Wolves by Rochani Chokshi. The year is 1889, and the streets of Paris are filled with ancient secrets. When Severin is offered the chance to redeem his true inheritance, he must exist the help of a band of talented misfits to seek out the lost artifact. They just combine their various knowledge, witts and skills to find this mysterious item. This book is also an exclusive cover and is signed by the author. We also get a letter from the author and an exclusive luggage tag. 

Under the book is the pamphlet with interviews with the author and a vendor, word searches, comparing the covers, the monthly photo challenge and a sneak peek into next month.

November OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies. How are you? Today’s blog post is all about this month’s OwlCrate unboxing. This month’s OwlCrate’s theme is Rise from the Ashes. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what your favourite item was in this month’s box. Hope you have a great day. 

The first thing I see in this month’s box is the spoiler card. This is so epic and gorgeous. I love the colours that they used this month.

Next is a stunning pillowcase. The quote says “as long as there is life, there is hope.” This is a quote from An Ember in the Ashes. This item was created and designed by Evie Bookish. I am in love with the vibrancy of this pillowcase. 

Another item that ew get in this month’s OwlCrate box is beautiful skull planter. This item was exclusively designed and created by OwlCrate. I can’t wait to put a cactus in this and display it on my bookshelves. 

Next is this wax seal kit. I have always wanted a wax seal kit so I am so pumped for this item. This was designed by Michelle Gray and created by OwlCrate. The actual seal has a book own it, which I am obsessed with.

Another item is this craft kit. It is called wishing bracelets. Essentially you write your secret wishes, hopes and dreams on the paper beads. Whenever you need a little pick me up you unravel the bead and it appears for you to remind yourself. I think this is such a cool and unique item and I can’t wait to make this.

Next is this gorgeous sticker from Susanne Draws. This sticker features Dumbledore and Fawkes. I can’t wait to pit this up on my bookish prints wall. 

This month’s book is Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan. Every year eight girls throughout the land  of Ikhara are chosen as Paper Girls. To serve the Demon King as his concubines. Tradition is disturbed when our main character Lei is kidnapped from her village and is forced to serve as the ninth Paper Girl. We follow the nine Paper Girls as they struggle to survive the palace. Then Lei does the unthinkable- she falls in love. This book does have an exclusive cover and is signed by the author. This also comes with a letter from the author and an exclusive sticker decal. I am so excited for this book. It sounds amazing.

Next in the box we have our monthly panphlet. This includes an interview with the author and Susanne Draws. Also a work search and a sneak peek of whats inside next month’s box.

October 2018 OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies. How are you?Today’s blog post is all about my October OwlCrate unboxing. This month’s theme was “Lost in a Bookstore”. Please leave me a comment down below letting me now what was your favourite item in this month’s box. Hope you have a great day. 

The first thing I see in this box is the spoiler card. This is probably one of my favourites that OwlCrate was ever came out with. I love how the girl is having tea and reading a book named “Little Witches”. I love the aesthetic of this card. I am not going to be looking at the back of this card because I don’t want to spoil myself. 

The next item I see in this box is a pair of book nerd socks. These socks were designed by Out of Print and Underlined. I love socks especially bookish ones. These are so cute.

Another item in this box is a choco mint truffle flavoured tea from The Tea Spot. I am not a tea drinker, however my best friend is so I will absolutely be gifting this to her.  I love the illustrations on this label.

Next is a tea strainer. Team OwlCrate created this silicone heart shaped strainer and Michelle Grey designed it. 

A canvas clutch purse is up next in this box. This was designed and created exclusively from Bookworm Boutique.  It reads on the back “books are a uniquely portable magic”. This pouch is gorgeous.

The final item is this month’s box is the pin that they always have that corresponds with the spoiler card. 

In this month’s box we get the honour of hitting two hardcover exclusive cover signed books. 

The first book is a Pride and Prejudice retelling called Pride by Ibi Zoboi. This is about a girl named Zuri who loves where she is from. However, lately she is feeling the the ramifications of renovating the houses on her neighbourhood. When a wealthy family moves next door, Zuri wants nothing to do with their two sons. Soon after Zuri’s older sister starts falling in love with one of them and initial judgments begin to shift. This is an OwlCrate exclusive cover. On the original cover the Title Pride is in blue. It is also signed, comes with a letter from the author and a bookmark. I love the naked spine and the endpapers. 

The next book is a fantasy novel called Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kawagawa. At the end of the millennium, whoever holds the scroll will be granted one wish from the great Kami Dragon. When a demon destroys a shapeshifter named Yumeko’s home as well has everyone she knows. She escapes with a piece of the scroll and embarks on a quest to find the missing pieces.  Fate, brings her into the path of Tatsumi, a demon slaying shadow warrior who’s only mission is to find the scroll and to kill anyone who stands in his path. This is an OwlCrate exclusive cover. ON the original cover the background is black and the silhouette of the forrest is red. It is also signed, comes with a letter from the author and a bookmark.

September OwlCrate Unboxing

Hello lovelies. Today’s blog post is all about my September OwlCrate unboxing. This mont’s theme was Masters of Disguise and I have no idea what the book for this month’s is. OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box that comes with a newly released Young Adult novel and 3 to 5 bookish goodies. First thing I see in this box is the spoiler card. It is beautiful as always. I love the purple hues the artist used in this print. I am not going to look that the back of the print because it has spoilers and I want to be surprised. 

Next is a mug that is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was created and designed by Cara Kozik. I love the artwork and all of the iconic scenes on this mug.

Another item that I seen this box is bath soak created by Leeloo Soaps. This item was inspired by the Diabolic. I absolutely want to use this in the future.

Fourth item in this box is a pair of fingerless gloves that was created by the OwlCrate team. This item was inspired by the Six of Crows duology. I love it when subscription boxes have practical items in their boxes.

This gorgeous lip balm was created and designed by GeekFireLabs . It was inspired by the Kiss of Deception trilogy. It smells like apple and spearmint. This smells so good.

The next item is a gorgeous art print of Lila Bard from the Shades of Magic trilogy. This was designed by Kirsty Carter. This is beautiful. It will absolutely be going upon non my art print wall.

Another item is the pin that they always include in the box. It is a close up of the royals’s face on the spoiler card. I love collecting these.

The final item before the book is a promotional card with nail polish for the upcoming release of Grim Lovelies. This is such a good idea. I have never gotten nail polish in a subscription box before. I love the colour of it as well.

The book for this month is Mirage by Somaiya Daud. This is about Amani, who is kidnapped to the royal palace. There she discovers that she look a lot like the hated Princess Marem. Amani is forced to impersonate the princess at all of her social gatherings. This is a debut novel with fantasy and sci-fi elements. I haven’t heard a lot of people talk about this book, but I am very intrigued about this novel. It sounds awesome. 

This novel also comes signed by the author, a note from the author and a special design underneath the dust jacket. We also get a panflete with a interview from the author, word search and an interview with Leeloo Soaps. 

Next month’s theme is Lost in a Bookstore. Every October box will include an exclusive pair of socks from Our of Print and will also include two hardcover and signed books.
