Top 5 Wednesday – September 5

Hello lovelies. How are you? Today’s blog post is this week’s Top 5 Wednesday. The host of Top 5 Wednesday is Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. This week’s topic is our Favourite Bookish Friendships. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what are your favourite bookish friendships. Hope you have a great day.

March Sisters (Little Women Series)

IMG_2112

Nothing screams friendship more to me then sisters. We follow the sisters throughout childhood to adulthood. We get to watch them fight, forgive, love and learn. They love and support each other no matter what.

Harry, Ron and Hermione (Harry Potter Series)

img_2111.jpg

Their skills perfectly compliment one another and they always have each others back’s.

Wilbur and Charlotte (Charlotte’s Web)

Wilbur and Charlotte could not be any more different! LITERALLY! But you can’t help, but love their friendship. Their friendship means being loyal to each other They watch out for each other when it really counts.

Anne and Diana (Anne of Green Gables)

img_2109.jpg

The two have nothing in common. As different as the two girls are; they ever let their differences hinder their friendship. Instead, they use them to help each other.

Mary, Dickon and Colin (The Secret Garden)

It was beautiful to watch their personalities unfold and to truly see how much love and respect they have for each other.

Top 5 Wednesday – Favourite Fathers or Father Figures

Hello lovelies. How are you? Today’s blog post is another Top 5 Wednesday topic. This week’s topic is our favourite fathers or father figures. I thought it would be fun to also include how each character is like my own Dad. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know who your favourite fathers or father figures are. Hope you have a awesome day.

IMG_1104

  • Atticus Finch (To Kill A Mockingbird)
    • This man is my hero. He embodies everything I wish to be. He is empathetic, brave and smart.
    • My Dad and Atticus are very similar. They both stand up for what they believe in even if it is an unpopular opinion. Both of them are empathetic. My Dad never judges any one. He is also smart. My Dad researches the facts before making any decisions. No matter how big or small.

IMG_1268

  • Daniel Convey (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before Trilogy)
    • This charter is a family man. He bases his decisions on what is best for the family.
    • To my Dad family mean everything to him. He puts us first and I am eternally grateful for that.

  • Robin (Second Chance Summer)
    • This character pushes his kids to go out of there comfort zone. He is so encouraging and sweet so just want to hug him. He is the heart of the family.
    • My dad always encourages me. He is my number one fan.

IMG_1281

  • Hans Hubberman (The Book Thief)
    • Hans is just a sweet and intelligent man. During World War Two in Nazi occupied Germany he teaches Liesel to read at night. He is so patient with her and compassionate.
    • Although my Dad does not like reading, one of my fondest memories with me is him reading me bed time stories to me. My dad also use to help me with my homework and when I didn’t get it right away he would be so patient with me until I understood it.

IMG_1270

  • Arthur Weasley (Harry Potter Series)
    • Arthur has such a heart of gold. He tries so hard to provide for his family and he never complains.
    • My Dad is one of the kindest people I know. He puts everyone before himself. He works hard at work every day and never complains about what he knows he has to do.

Chick-Lit-A-Thon TBR

Hi lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog is all about the 5 books that I am planing on reading for the Chick-Lit-A-Thon Hope you have an awesome day!

The Chick-Lit-A-Thon is a read-a-thon hosted by Lisa (from Books and Smiles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpbEq3M_pDU), Sophie (from All Things Equilateral https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeYuG2yH7X1sjdKLZy5Q6lw) and Jen (from Jen Talks Audiobooks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G42VWc0_IlU). The goal of this read-a-thon is to read five books. Each book corresponds with a challenge. It runs from May 1st to May 31, so you have a whole month to read 5 books.

The books do not have to be romance, they can be anything you consider chick lit.

The challenges are:

1. Read a book with pink on the cover.

2. Read something with music as part of the plot or character (a rock band, rock star, singer)

3. Read an old chick-lit book that you’ve been wanting to read, but haven’t made the time for.

4. Read something by an author who’s written a lot of books that you haven’t read, yet.

5. Read a serious chick-lit novel, like women’s fiction or historical or whatever you choose to think of as more “serious”.

My TBR is:
