U.S. vs. U.K. Book Covers

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about U.S. and U.K. book covers. I love books covers. Book covers are what initially draws you to that book; to pick it up and read the synopsis. Today I will be comparing U.S. book covers to U.K. book covers to see which one I like better and which one best represents the story better. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know if you typically like U.S. or U.K. covers better. Hope you have a great day.

Vicious

I would have to pick the U.S. Edition. I just love the bright red background, the silhouette of the man and the bones. It’s so striking. Plus it represents the story more.

A Long Way To A Small Angry Planet

I would have to pick the U.S. cover. I love the galaxy sky in the background.    The U.K. cover just looks plain to me. Nothing exciting.

Release

I 1000% love the U.K. cover more in this one. I love the colours and that the outline of the river makes up two silhouettes.

On The Come up

I absolutely love the cover of the U.S. book. I love the artwork. The cover matches the book. The U.K. cover just has a girl on the cover.

Waking Gods

The U.S. cover is by far my favourite. I love the galaxy design and the yellows. The U.K. cover just has a face on it.

I am the Messenger

For this book I prefer the U.K. cover to the U.S. one. I love how on the cover of the U.K. one it has a playing card on it which is an essential part of the story. I also like the typography more on it as well.

Big Little Lies

I love the striking image of the lollipop on the U.S. cover. The colours and the typography all tie up this cover for me.

Under Rose Tainted Skies

The U.S. cover is absolutely gorgeous. I love the water colours.

The Queen of the Tearling

The U.K. cover of the Queen of the Tearling is my favourite. I love how the crown is a trap and that it is on a pillow ready to bed presented. I feel like the U.S. cover is boring. It just has a photograph of a castle on it.

The Serpent King

I love the cover of the U.S. book. I don’t normally like people on book cover, however I think this one does it really well. I am also like the typography. I love how it looks like snake skin and how it is falling off.

February Bullet Journal Flip Through and March Set Up

Hello lovelies! How are you. Today’s blog post is all about a look through of my February and march spread of my bullet journal. Please leave mea comment down below letting me know if any of you do a bullet journal and if so is is for books or something else? Hope you have a great day.

IMG_3192

The first pages that I am going to show you are my February title page and my February TBR page. For my February title page I decided to do hearts because it’s the month of love. I also did a bunch of circles around the word February because I didn’t want it to be just hearts. The next page is my TBR page. So every single month I write down five books that I want to make a priority to read this month. As you can see I didn’t really do well with sticking to my TBR. I read 2 out of the 5 books.

IMG_3193

The next set of pages are my Haul and Read pages. The haul page is where I list all of the books that I bought in that month and the read page is where I sit all of the books that I read in that month.

IMG_3194

Pages Read and my March title page are the next set of pages. Pages Read is where I mark down the number of pages I read on the given day. I love the visual appeal of this page. I couldn’t decide on the theme of the title page for March, so I googled Bullet journal theme title page and it showed this paint splatter design and I instantly fell in love with it. I loved how it turned out.

IMG_3195

The next pages are my TBR page and my haul page. These five books on my TBR page are my main priority this month. Im excited to get to these books. The Haul page is where I will write down the books that I bought this month.

IMG_3196

The final two pages are my pages read and read page. Pages read page is where I graph the number of pages I read each day. I love to look at my progress at the end of each month. I find it so satisfying. The last page is my read page. This page is where I will write down all of the books that I read this month.

Bullet Journal January Flip Through and February Set-Up

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about a bullet journal flip through for January and see my February set up. Please leave me a comment down below if you bullet journal. Hope you have a great day.

IMG_3044

This is my January title page. I decided to go with a fireworks theme for New Years and I really liked how it turned out.

IMG_3039

Next is my TBR and Haul page. As you can see I did a pretty good job with keeping with my TBR except for one book which I think is pretty good since I am such a mood reader. My Haul is something that I am very happy with also because I read more books than I bought.

IMG_3040

My read page and my pages read page are the third and fourth pages of this layout. As you can see I had an awesome reading month in January. I read 14 books. I number all of my books in the order that I finished them in and give them a star rating beside them.  Pages read is where I mark the amount of pages I read each day to have a visual representation of my reading month. I read all of January except for one day.

IMG_3041

This is my February title page. Since it is the month of love I decided to do hearts. On the next page is my TBR. This is the page where I state the five books that are my priority to read.

IMG_3042

The next pages are my Haul and Read page. The haul page is where I will be writing down all of the books that I have acquired this month. The Read page is where I list all of the books that I read this month with their star rating.

IMG_3043

The last page in my Pages Read page. This page is where I will be graphing the amount of pages that I’d read each day in the month.

If I Only Owned 30 Books

Hello lovelies! How are you? Today’s blog post is all about the 30 books that I have read that are on my book shelves that I would keep. I got this idea from Hailey in Bookland. She got the idea from the book by Marie Kondo called The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Essentially Marie stated in her book that when it’s time to unhaul your books only keep 30 that bring you joy. I will not only be keeping these books. This is only for fun. It’s pretend. These 30 books I can not live without and bring me so much joy. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what are some of the books that bring you joy.
